Top 10 Palay Producing-Provinces in the Philippines (2011)

The Philippines is relatively an agricultural country with rice, corn, tobacco and sugarcane as the major production. Rice is the staple food being served at every Filipino’s table making it as the the most widely-eaten grain in the country.

According to the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics, these are the Top 10 Rice-Producing Provinces as of 2011.

1. Nueva Ecija – 1,313,487 metric tons
2. Isabela – 1, 068,275 metric tons
3. Iloilo – 959,270 metric tons
4. Pangasinan – 958,270 metric tons
5. Cagayan – 784,622 metric tons
6. Camarines Sur – 570,322 metric tons
7. Leyte – 526,762 metric tons
8. North Cotabato – 481,006 metric tons
9. Tarlac – 450,757 metric tons
10. Sultan Kudarat – 404,198 metric tons
